Somewhere in between the bright lights, beeping machines, poking, prodding, pain and panic of a life threatening trauma, there are innovations, technologies and / or products yet to be created for shaping this traumatic Patient Experience into a more holistic, human centered, therapeutic pathway.
Buoyed by my accidental customer discovery, the next step was a series of meetings with local university professors to outline my problem / solution & conceptual design approach. Stunned at the simplicity of my observations, they quickly concurred that there was indeed a problem that needed to be solved. There is a product to be built, an experience to shape, and together, we could solve this problem.
Where will it lead? I don't know yet, but to climb a mountain, you must begin with a single step. From my 5 days on that hospital floor through 60 days of 24 x 7 caregiving recovery, I know the journey is worth the risk. So here we go..
